Promotion of components and load-modules

Purpose

This is a mandatory z/OS Phase.

This Phase copies the z/OS files selected from the Environment Target to their respective z/OS PDSs. The load-modules are copied to temporary sequential files and the script creates and submits a JCL for receiving them in their PDSs.

BIND DB2 files and SQL files may be transferred to z/OS PDSs without variable replacements. For these variable replacements see the dedicated DB2 Phases.

Additionally, for IDMS objects, the Idms Components Promotion Phase (Promote Idms components may be used.

Usage

The Promotion of components and load-modules Phase can be used on Deploy Environments.

This Phase is dependent on the Copy from Source to Target Phase.
